A full day packed with Fire starting skills and bushcraft techniques. Mitch Mitchell instructs his students through various ignition methods in the Level 1 class such as, Matches, Flint and Steel, Ferro Rod, and Magnifying Glass. Students receive highly detailed instruction covering the nuances of each style throughout the day, and the encompassing Tinder styles, Feather Stick carving and use, and Fire Lays. Fuel types including Soft Woods, Hard Woods, and Alternate Fuel types are covered, as is Wet Condition modifications to each facet of Fire Mastery. Simply put, students will be Masters of Fire by days end; beginners to experts, all will benefit by Fire Mastery 1. Held at the NativeSurvival School's private woodland teaching facility in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
